Karri Files
Paul
Karri Files Paul founded KFiles Design in 2020 and has been creating striking yet meaningful landscape plans throughout the greater North Carolina area ever since. Karri is a graduate of Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and brings 25+ years of design and executive leadership experience to her work.
While living in Connecticut and commuting into New York City, she was constantly seeking a place of refuge, which cultivated her long-held love of gardening and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Her extensive travels around the world — from Asia to Europe, as well as her own backyard of the Hudson Valley and New England — have provided endless inspiration. A move back to her home state of North Carolina sparked the idea to shift design mediums from apparel to landscape. She received certification from the New York Botanical Garden before launching her namesake business in Charlotte, NC.
Karri has an ongoing passion for sustainability and incorporating native plants, which she continues to apply in her work. The combination of her corporate background, training from Parsons School of Design and NYBG allows her to offer a unique approach and perspective. She has a strong understanding of building relationships, addressing client needs, and delivering lasting results.
Karri is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and sits on the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art North Carolina chapter committee. When she's not working or traveling, you can find her tending to her own perennial, cottage-style garden.

Rebecca
Lucia
Raised in southeast Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, Rebecca developed an early appreciation for the rich landscapes and ecological diversity of the Gulf Coast. She earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, where she cultivated a strong foundation in horticulture through both academic study and hands-on internship experience at local nurseries.
Rebecca approaches each project with a deep respect for the relationship between people and the natural environment. Her work reflects a belief that beautiful landscapes should not only inspire but also support the health and vitality of the ecosystems they inhabit. At KFiles Design, Rebecca contributes to stages of the design process from conceptual sketching and schematic design to construction documentation, planting design, grading and drainage plans, and construction oversight.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys nurturing her garden, handcrafting ceramics in the pottery studio, and exploring mountain trails with her beloved cat and dog.
